A blog honoring the truth about Marilyn Monroe in the shape of small facts and quotes. This blog's main focus is to be as far away from myths and conspiracy theories as possible. It is also a tribute to the most beautiful woman our world has seen.

makeitloud:  Have you ever done a MarilynFact about Marilyn's IQ? There are reports of her IQ having been either 163 or 168, both being higher than that of Albert Einstein(160) by at least 3 IQ points.

Marilyn never had her IQ measured. x

coachbubba:  I just wrote you a long question about her eye color and then realized that I wasn't logged in and asked it anonymously. What is your evidence and research tell you her "true" eye color was?

They were not brown at all. They were grey-blue :)

I’m so furious at tumblr for putting all those ads and banners on marilynfacts that my motivation is almost gone. Why, Tumblr?

Anonymous:  I'm so very sorry for being anonymous, I don't have a tumblr account. However, I trust your facts when you say a quote is either right or wrong. I have been wanting to get a Marilyn Monroe tattoo for a very long time with a particular feel to it but I want to make sure this is legitimate. Has she ever said ''Keep smiling, because life is a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about''? I'd hate to get something she's never even spoken. ''Thank you ever so'' in advance. :)

This quote definitely sounds like something Marilyn would’ve said, but alas. This quote has no source so it’s probably just fiction or a quote said by someone else famous.

Today is a very special day for me as a norwegian. It’s been one year since terror and death fell over my country. 77 innocent people were taken away because of one man’s hatred and extremism. I want to use this opportunity to remember not only the young people who were massacred at Utøya and the people by the government building in Oslo, but also to remember everyone in the world who has been robbed of their lives this year (especially the innocent killed in Syria and the massacre that happened in Colorado). Let us meet it with more democracy, love and dignity rather than revenge, hatred and violence. With this I post a photo of Marilyn with roses because roses has become the sign of our grief after the terror in Norway. A rose is also the symbol of the Norwegian Labour Party who experienced such great losses when 69 of their youth organization members died at Utøya one year ago.

I’ve changed my design on the new quotes. I’ve made them a little more reblog friendly and simple. Hope you approve!

Anonymous:  can you post a legit picture of marilyns corpse?

No, I won’t. You see, I think death is a very personal thing. I believe in giving Marilyn the peace she deserves and rather focus on her life and achievements. Go be morbid somewhere else.

Why ads?

I would never ever spam down this blog with ads or use it only to make money, but I do have this small little thing under the sidebar. I hope you understand that, all though loving it, keeping life in this blog takes a lot of effort and time. Getting just a tiny income from this blog is quite nice for me and I hope you all understand.

If you want to contribute to MF just click the banner.

Thank you.
