A blog honoring the truth about Marilyn Monroe in the shape of small facts and quotes. This blog's main focus is to be as far away from myths and conspiracy theories as possible. It is also a tribute to the most beautiful woman our world has seen.

Marilyn by Lani Carlson, 1952.
Yes, a size 12 in the NINETEENFIFTIES. That’s not a size 12 today, but a 6. Chriiist.
Officially ending all further discussions about this.
This blog has nothing to do with other peoples mental issues. This blog covers the truth about Marilyn Monroe. I find it annoying to see Marilyn being used over and over again in anti-skinny propaganda. Yes, I do agree that our society is somewhat ruled by looking perfect and slim, but what I loath is the people trying to change this by stating that “skinny is not sexy” and “real women have curves”. That does the exact same thing to naturally slim people, telling a young woman that she’s not a real woman because she doesn’t have a big chest or curvy hips. Do you think Marilyn would’ve liked being used as propaganda to make slim people feel bad about themselves? Why can’t people just understand that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes? Marilyn was a size 6, that is the truth, no matter how people feel about it. I’m not going to lie to anyone to spare their feelings?! Stop harassing me for a true fact, it’s just ridiculous.
/for people who don’t know, this anon has sent this message about 30 times.
I’ve never stated anything about my personal opinions regarding weight anywhere? If you refer to the last fact I only ment that size 6 is not a big size, nothing else. Stop being so touchy and paranoid.
Both questions are hard to answer. I love all the photos Sam Shaw took of Marilyn, they were so real and portrayed her as the beautiful person she was, not the sex symbol the media created.
My personal film favorites are Don’t Bother to Knock, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and The Prince and the Showgirl.
That I do not know. Sorry.
Not a big fan of being personal on this blog, but since so many asked if I had a personal tumblr; http://valley-of-the-dolls.tumblr.com/
